New information - Business Visa facilitation

OFFICE HOURS FOR VISAS/PASSPORTS:

Visa/passport and all other consular applications will be accepted between the hours of 09:30 to 12:30, Monday through. Friday.

The Embassy recommends the use of Express Mail for all deliveries. It shall not be responsible for loss of documents in the mail. Fee is payable in U.S. Postal Money Orders or Cashier Checks payable to the Embassy of Pakistan or the respective consulate general. Please do not send cash or personal cheque. All fees are non-refundable.

The application must only be accompanied by US Post Office self addressed pre-paid express mail envelope. Please use the flat rate envelope (current cost : $ 16.50). Do not use Metered stamps. We do not accept any other form of return mail.

Please always enclose the return envelope inside the envelope in which the application is sent. Credit card numbers or other slips do not work for us. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Birth Certificate

Birth Certificate are issued by the Local Government authorities in Pakistan. Such certificates must be dully attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad or its camp offices in Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar. The Embassy and its Consulate offices in the US counter authenticate the above documents

Attestation of a document other than the power of attorney:

To get a document notarized, you should send a notarized copy with the original, your National Identity Card, or photocopy of Pakistani passport and five dollars per document.

Please also contact your relevant consulate for shipping and handling details. Remember, if you are a US national, all documents have to be first authenticated by the US Department of State (Authentication office, 518 23rd Street N.W SA-1, Washington D.C. 20520 (Phone# 800.688.9889)

 

Attestation of a Power of Attorney

To get a Power of Attorney notarized, you should send a notarized copy with the original, your National Identity Card or Pakistani passport and money order. Please also send one extra copy of the Power of attorney for our record

Please also contact your relevant consulate for shipping and handling details. Remember, if you are a US citizen, all documents that have to be attested have to be first notarized by the US Department of State. The documents such as birth and death certificates, Marriage, divorce certificates which are issued from Pakistan must have been first attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan. Similarly all education certificates and degrees issued from Pakistan will only be attested by the Embassy and Pakistani consulates if they are attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
