The Embassy of Pakistan, Washington D.C. celebrated the 67th anniversary of Pakistan Resolution with traditional fervor and enthusiasm while remembering the arduous struggle and sacrifices, rendered by our founding fathers.
A simple but impressive flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Chancery this morning. The ceremony began with recitation from the Holy Quran. Ambassador Mahmud Ali Durrani unfurled the national flag and read out the messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan on the occasion. Special prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
The official 23 rd March reception was held at the Chancery in the evening. The reception was attended by over 600 guests; including high ranking US officials, the diplomatic corps, congressional and senate staffers, media representatives, members of the think tank community, senior officials from the international financial institutions and prominent Pakistanis and Pakistani Americans.
