Ambassador Mahmud Ali Durrani presents his credentials to Governor General of Jamaica, H.E. Professor Kenneth Hall
His Excellency Ambassador Mahmud Ali Durrani, who is concurrently accredited to Jamaica, today presented his credentials to the Governor General of Jamaica, H.E. Professor Kenneth Hall, as Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Jamaica, in an impressive ceremony held at King’s House in Kingston, Jamaica. The ceremony included presentation of a military guard of honour.
The High Commissioner was received very warmly by the Governor General. Mr. Durrani conveyed the warm greetings and good wishes on behalf of the President and the Prime Minister to the Governor General and discussed with him ways and means of enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and Jamaica in trade, investment, tourism, culture and other fields. The two sides reiterated their strong commitment to further strengthen, deepen and broaden bilateral relations between the two countries and cooperate closely at the international fora on issues of common interest.
Earlier, the High Commissioner had met with the Jamaican Minister for Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade, H.E. G. Anthony Hytton, for a more detailed exchange of views on bilateral cooperation in diverse fields and the whole range of issues of mutual interest.
