MEDICAL ADMISSION OF FOREIGN STUDENTS UNDER SELF FINANCE SCHEME

Foreign Students of Pakistani origin will be admitted in Medical colleges under the following two schemes:

1) Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme (PTAP)

2) Self Finance Scheme (SFS)

The Economic Affairs Division will continue handling of admission under Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme (PTAP) whereas the Self Finance Scheme (SFS) has now been transferred to Higher Education Commission (HEC).

HEC will now process applications under Self Finance Scheme for the forthcoming session 2006-2007. The concerned focal person of HEC who will look after all related matters of admission is as under:

Candidates eligible for admission are required to fill the requisite form available at www.ead.gov.pk for Application form of Economic Affairs Division, Government of Pakistan. In parallel, an equivalence of certificates of US degrees/marks have to be evaluated from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, Islamabad. Application forms (in triplicate), alongwith equivalence certificate, copies of US passport, parents passports or National Identity Card and degrees have to be forwarded to Economic Affairs Division (Foreign Students Section) through the Embassy of Pakistan on following address:
